OFFICIAL 2020 Texas International Archery Festival CANCELLATION NOTICE.
From the Board of Directors of The Eastern Contingent:
Due to the serious nature of the Covid-19 situation and the massive impact it is having on the international community, travel restrictions, and health concerns, and due to the uncertainty of the duration of its health consequences, the Eastern Contingent Board of Directors has determined it is best for all to cancel the 2020 TXIAF.
As Stewards of the historical archery community and it’s culture, the safety and health of our International competitors is of the upmost importance to our organization. We are first and foremost an event designed to support the community of historical archers, and we will always act in their best interests no matter the personal burden.
Moving forward, we will be working closely with all to issue refunds for any competition and vendor fees already paid. Anyone experiencing additional issues involved in the cancellation of this event, please contact us directly at [email protected]. It is our intent to host this event in the future, but safeguarding the health and safety of our participants is our primary concern.
THANK YOU to all of the competitors, vendors, volunteers, sponsors, and entertainers involved in the planning process of this festival. We love each of you dearly, and will be working hard to bounce back from this when the time comes. This is a huge hit for the historical archery community, but we will keep practicing, studying, and preparing for when we are able to meet again.
