WORLD KITCHEN HELPS FEDERAL WORKERS

During government shutdowns, the nonprofit World Central Kitchen (WCK) provides free meals to furloughed or unpaid federal workers and their families, primarily in the Washington, D.C., area. The ongoing initiative, known as #ChefsForFeds, reactivates whenever federal workers are affected by a government closure. 



“As the federal government shutdown continues to impact families across the Washington region, World Central Kitchen, founded by Chef José Andrés, will serve free, freshly prepared meals to federal workers and their families.

The community lunches will take place Wednesday, October 29th, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

at the following locations, offering a moment of comfort and solidarity for those affected.
